Albatera is a small town lying on the banks of the River Segura. Surrounded by mountains and with some spectacular views, Albatera is a beautiful countryside spot.
Located in the Alicante province between Crevillent and Orihuela, Albatera is surrounded by fertile farming land and citrus fruits account for much of its income.
Situated just outside the town is a beautiful natural park (Parque de la Huerta) a peaceful place to take a stroll and enjoy the picturesque scenery.
6 km north of the town you will find the Albatera Golf and Country Club, one of the top golf courses in the region and also providing other sporting facilities such as riding, shooting and tennis.
Worth a look during a visit to Albatera is the town square and the Church of Santiago the Apostle.
Albatera is located on the N340.
